Philadelphia Solar to Lead 15.52 MWh Energy Storage Project for Jordan’s Water Authority
Philadelphia Solar has signed an agreement with Jordan’s Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Water Authority to implement a 15.52 MWh electrical energy storage system, supported by a grant from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Energy storage for critical water infrastructure
The project connects clean energy infrastructure with one of Jordan’s most essential sectors: water services. It focuses on reliability, efficiency, and operational sustainability.
Supporting Jordan’s Water Sector with Advanced Energy Storage
Philadelphia Solar has signed an agreement with Jordan’s Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Water Authority to implement a 15.52 MWh electrical energy storage system, supported by a grant from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The project includes the installation of an Energy Storage System, along with operation and maintenance works. The system is designed to improve the reliability of energy supply, enhance energy-use efficiency, and reduce operational costs across water-sector facilities.
Through this project, the Water Authority will be better positioned to manage electricity consumption more efficiently and support the long-term sustainability of water services in Jordan.
Improving Reliability, Efficiency, and Sustainability
This agreement reflects the growing role of advanced energy solutions in critical infrastructure sectors. It also supports Jordan’s broader direction toward reducing energy costs, improving service reliability, and adopting more sustainable operational practices across the water sector.
