The Gaza Central Treatment Plant is a critical infrastructure facility designed to serve eleven communities comprising around one million inhabitants. By treating wastewater, the plant significantly improves resource protection, proper water supply conditions, and reduces health risks for the local population.
In a region where electricity is scarce, this sophisticated treatment facility operates as an energy self-sufficient complex. This remarkable achievement is made possible by the integration of a biogas facility and the massive 4.7 MW solar plant.

Seamless Grid-Tied Integration
The 4.7 MW PV grid-tied system is distributed across two main sites, with synchronization works between the new PV system and the two already installed diesel generators at each site separately.

Philadelphia Solar Panels and Structures
The project utilizes high-quality Jordanian solar panels and robust steel mounting structures manufactured and supplied by Philadelphia Solar to ensure durability and reliable energy yield.

Surplus Power Supporting Households
The integrated renewable plants produce more electricity than the whole complex consumes itself. Surplus power generated by the solar PV system is sold back to GEDCO to help supply electricity for households across Gaza.
